#wholeheartedjournal collective: 14

"As a child, one has that magical capacity to move among the many eras of the earth; to see the land as an animal does; to experience the sky from the perspective of a flower or a bee; to feel the earth quiver and breathe beneath us; to know a hundred different smells of mud and listen unself- consciously to the soughing of the trees."  --Valerie Andrews, A Passion for this Earth

I sat scrolling for what seemed like hours though the huge selection of amazing images of the #wholheartedjournal tag today.

Feeling drawn towards images that captured the feeling of exploration.

I felt so curious about what each child was thinking and feeling in these images...

I imagined the expressions of wonder, magic and joy amongst the new discoveries they were each about to make...

Thank you all so much for sharing with us. Tam x

What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? --Mary Oliver
“The little man could only stare. He hadn’t dreamed of the BIGNESS of the sea. He hadn’t dreamed of the blueness of it. He hadn’t thought it would roll like kettledrums, and swish itself on to the beach. He opened his mouth and the drift and the dream of it, the weave and the wave of it, the fume and foam of it never left him again. ~More from Margaret Mahy because I love this story and we so NEEDED to runaway to the sea!
I hope she never stops singing her song of joy
Every day is good when you have a batman cape on. Another perfect weekend ended! Im loving summer already!
Tree climbing (he didn't quite make it to the top...)
Victorious rock pool-ers - they found two crabs, three fish and a starfish
Odin woke from his nap and couldn't stop talking about lighthouses, so naturally we packed up and headed out to the edge of the island to visit Sankaty Lighthouse.
